What is a roller shade or roller blind?
A roller shade, also called a roller blind or roll-up shade, is a fabric panel that rolls onto a tube mounted above the window and lowers to the height you need. Depending on the fabric you choose, it darkens the room completely, filters the sun while keeping the view, or diffuses light for privacy.
Every shade is made to order, to the measurements and fabric style you choose. An advisor quotes your project.

Farz fabrics in a wide range of colors. Each one controls light differently, and they can be combined on the same window.
Blackout
Blackout roller shades block light completely. For bedrooms, media rooms and any space that needs room-darkening at any hour.
Solar screen
Solar shades filter the sun and reduce heat while keeping the view outside. For living rooms, dining rooms, offices and sliding glass doors.
Semi-sheer
Translucent shades let in soft, even light while protecting your privacy. For bathrooms, kitchens and dressing rooms.
Sheer Elegance
Also known as zebra, dual or day-and-night shades. Alternating opaque and sheer bands that align or overlap to fine-tune light without raising the shade.
Blackout and screen on one window
Two shades on a single mount: screen to filter the sun by day and blackout to darken the room at night. Each one operates independently.

How much does a roller shade cost?
The cost of a roller shade depends on size, fabric and operation. Every shade is made to order, so an advisor quotes your project.
Are roller shades and roller blinds the same thing?
Yes. Roller shades, roller blinds and roll-up shades are different names for the same system: a fabric panel that rolls onto a tube above the window.
Which fabric brand do you use?
We are an authorized Farz dealer, with a wide range of colors in every fabric.
Which shade is best for a bedroom, living room or bathroom?
For bedrooms, blackout. For living rooms, dining rooms and offices, solar screen or Sheer Elegance. For bathrooms and kitchens, translucent. Your advisor helps you choose based on each room's orientation and use.
What is the difference between blackout, screen and semi-sheer?
Blackout blocks light completely. Screen has a 10% openness that filters the sun and keeps the view. Semi-sheer lets in diffused light and protects privacy. Sheer Elegance combines opaque and sheer bands to regulate light.
Can I have blackout and screen on the same window?
Yes, with the dual system: two shades on one mount that operate independently.
Manual or motorized?
Manual with a color-matched plastic chain or a nickel-plated metal chain. Motorized or electric with remote control, app and voice assistants such as Alexa and Google, or a cordless battery motor.
What colors do the profiles come in?
Black, white, ivory, grey and chocolate. The hardware, plastic chain and optional fascia or cassette come in the same color.
What sizes are available?
